Mudge (E.) KALKOENNES, CLRS, In Situ, volume 1, 2013
b/w & colour illus., paperback, Cape Town, 2013. R205
"'In Situ' is a self-publication that is site-specific, process-oriented. Every few months the CLRS&Co; team finds a location and collaborates on an in situ artwork." pg.4

This book is a record of the group's visit to Kalkoennes, a town on the border of the Montagu mountain reserve in the Western Cape. Here they scaled several peaks in the mountains and hoisted a 50 kg column of fabric to a height of 50 metres. It hung suspended for 35 minutes before the rope gave way in the wind. The installation was created by Dale Lawrence, Franco Fernandes, Christine Joubert, Michael Lumby, Ethne Mudge, Marcii Goose, Robert Nicholis, Marceli Esterhuizen and Claire Johnson.
