Photographer Guy Tillim was born in Johannesburg in 1962 and lives in Cape Town. He has won many awards for his work, including the first Robert Gardner Fellowship in Photography of the Peabody Museum for Archaeology and Ethnology, Harvard University, in 2006; the Leica Oscar Barnack Award in 2005 and The Daimler Chrysler Award for South African photography in 2004.
