The term "Wilhelmiens" refers to the period of Dutch architectural influence in the reign of Queen Wilhelmina.

Karel Bakker is Head of the Department of Architecture at the University of Pretoria.
Architect and heritage practitioner Nicholas Clarke also teaches part-time at the Delft University of Technology, where he is conducting doctoral research.
Roger Fisher is Emeritus Professor in the Department of Architecture, University of Pretoria.
