A celebration of the Ankole, a breed of cattle originating in Uganda and introduced into South Africa by cattle and game breeder Cyril Ramaphosa. All the photographs in this book were taken on Cyril Ramaphosa's farm, Ntaba Nyoni, in Mpumalanga province.

Photographer Daniel Naudé was born in 1984 in Cape Town, and currently lives in Stellenbosch. His previous books are "Animal Farm" and "Sightings of the Sacred: cattle in Uganda, Madagascar and India".
Cyril Ramaphosa was born in Johannesburg in 1952. In his youth he was detained several times for his anti-apartheid activities. He qualified as a lawyer, became a trade unionist, and co-founded the National Union of Mineworkers in 1982. Elected Secretary-General of the ANC after its unbanning in 1991, he became Chairman of the Constitutional Assembly, which drafted the South African Constitution. As a businessman he founded the Shanduka Group, a diversified holding company. He returned to politics full-time in 2012, was appointed Deputy President of South Africa in 2014 and elected President in 2018, following the resignation of Jacob Zuma.
