Photographer Aida Muleneh was born in Ethiopia in 1974 and has lived around the world. She is the recipient of the 2007 European Union Prize in the Rencontres Africaines de la Photographie, in Bamako, Mali, as well as the 2010 CRAF Award for Photography in Spilimbergo, Italy. She is the founder and director of the Addis Foto Fest in Ethiopia, and curates and develops cultural projects through her company DESTA (Developing and Educating Society Through Art) in Addis Ababa.
