Steven Cohen was born in 1963 in Johannesburg, and lives in Lille, France. From 2003 to 2008 he was an associated artist with of the Ballet Atlantique/ Régine Chopinot in La Rochelle, France. He has participated in residencies at the Baryshnikov Arts Center and the Center for Performance Research in New York.

Photographer and activist Omar Badsha was born in Durban in 1945. In 1981 he helped found Afrapix, the activists' photography collective. In 1991 he founded the NGO, South African History Online, a popular history project and website.

British photographer Thom Pierce was born in Jersey in 1978 and currently lives in Cape Town. In May 2016 he travelled into the Drakensberg mountains of Lesotho to photograph the horsemen and herders of the Semonkong region.
