South African chef Bertus Basson owns several restaurants including Overture in Stellenbosch, where he is head chef. His other restaurants include Eike and Spek & Bone, also in Stellenbosch. He was named "Chef of the Year" at the 2019 South African EatOut Mercedes-Benz Restaurant Awards for his work at Eike and Overture. He is the author of Homegrown (2017).
