Veronica Belling was the Jewish Studies Librarian at the Isaac and Jessie Kaplan Centre for Jewish Studies and Research at the University of Cape Town from 1981-2012. She is currently Honorary Research Associate to the Kaplan Centre. She is the author of Bibliography of South African Jewry and Yiddish Theatre in South Africa: a history from the late nineteenth century to 1960.
