Translated from the French by Marjolijn de Jager.
A novel about Isookanga, a Congolese Pygmy with a vision of the world shaped by an online game where he can seize control of the world's natural resources by any means possible, leaves his village to make his fortune in Kinshasa.
"Grounded in the lived experience of dynamic characters, this novel mines the multifaceted effects of postcolonialism and globalization on individuals, attesting to the many forms of violence at work in many African countries." Michelle Bumatay, Beloit College
