This publication is based on an exhibition of work by Nigerian-British photographer Akinbode Akinbiyi and South African photographer Abrie Fourie.

Includes poems by Tosin Otitoju and Anja Saleh and short essays by Bhavisha Panchia and Jaro Straub.

In December 2021, Akinbiyi and Fourie were invited to spend time at the residency programme of Opendorf Africa, Loango, in the province of Oubritenga, Burkina Faso, where they worked together on a photographic investigation of the geography and social topography of Oubritenga and Ouagadougou.

Nigerian-British photographer, author and curator Akinbode Akinbiyi was born in 1946 in Oxford and lives in Berlin.

Abrie Fourie was born in 1969 in Pretoria and currently divides his time between Richmond in the Northern Cape and Berlin, Germany.
