Braam van Wyk is Emeritus Professor of Botany at the University of Pretoria. He is co-author of (with Piet van Wyk) of Trees of Kruger and How to Identify Trees in Southern Africa.

The late Piet van Wyk (1931-2006) was a biologist who worked for three decades as a researcher in the Kruger National Park.

Ben-Erik van Wyk is Professor of Botany at the University of Johannesburg. He is co-author of People's Plants (with N. Gericke) and Medicinal Plants of South Africa (with B. van Oudtshoorn and N. Gericke).
