Actor and playwright Paul Slabolepszy was born in the UK in 1948, was brought to South Africa at the age of three, and lives in Johannesburg. A founder member of the Space Theatre Company in Cape Town (1972) and the Market Theatre Company in Johannesburg (1975), he has written 28 plays, including the The Return on Elvis du Pisanie, Saturday Night at the Palace, Mooi Street Moves and Heel Against the Head.
