Well known horticulturists and seed collectors Rod and Rachel Saunders planned to locate and photograph every known species of Gladiolus in South Africa. 

Fiona Ross is Professor of Anthropology at the University of Cape Town. She established the Sauders Guide Trust to ensure the completion of the Saunders' project.
