SJ Naudé  worked as a lawyer in New York and London for many years. He is the author of two short story collections Alfabet van die voëls and Dol Heuning and a novel Die derde spoel. He has won the University of Johannesburg Prize, the kykNet Rapport Prize and the Hertzog Prize. He lives in Cape Town.
