Memoir by Nigel Henson (b. 1946).

Henson grew up in Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe). He was commissioned into the Rhodesian Light Infantry as a troop commander. After serving in the Sultan of Omans Forces as Company Commander, he returned to the Rhodesian Light Infantry and took command of Support Commando, fighting in the Bush War of the 1970s. He was made an Officer of the Legion of Merit in 1980, shortly before retiring from the army.
