Holocaust survivor Ella Blumenthal was born 1921 in Warsaw, Poland. She survived the Warsaw Ghetto and Majdanek, Auschwitz and Bergen-Belsen concentration camps. After the war, she travelled to Poland, Paris and Palestine, before settling in Cape Town, where she currently lives. She has four children, eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
