Sedick Crombie on how apartheid policy, especially the Group Areas Act and forced removals, impacted his life and the lives of others classified Coloured by the system.

Sedick Crombie was born in the Strand, a small fishing village in the Western Cape. In the mid-1960s, when he was six-years-old, his family and other members of his community were forcibly removed from the Strand CBD, many to the township of Rusthof. His family built a new home in the township of Weltevreden.
