Includes new poems by Antjie Krog, as well as the original poems published in the 1985 edition, Mankepank en Ander Monsters.

Antjie Krog is the author of several volumes of poetry including Lady Anne (1989 Hertzog Prize) and Mede-wete (2015 Elizabeth Eybers Prize). Her non-fiction books include Begging to be Black and Country of My Skull, about the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (winner of the Olive Schreiner Prize and the Alan Paton Prize in 1998). She is Extraordinary Professor at the University of the Western Cape.

Artist and illustrator Piet Grobler has won several awards, including two silver medals in the Noma Concours, the Octogone de Chêne prize, and a BIB plaque. His latest books include Paris Cat (by Dianne Hofmeyr), Please Frog, Just One Sip! and Die Spree Met Foete (by Annie Schmidt).
