Born in South Africa, Duncan Welgemoed was head chef at The Goose at Britwell Salome in Oxford, UK, when it was awarded a Michelin star in 2005. He has also worked at Le Manor aux Quat'Saisons. In 2010 he opened Africola in Adelaide, Australia.
