Lumkile Wiseman Nkuhlu on the leadership strategies, qualities and policies necessary for an African renewal.

"This is an epic intellectual account on how a richly endowed continent with such a rich heritage of civilisations could have fallen so far behind. More importantly, this clinical comprehensive diagnosis, which is outstanding in its depth of historical analysis and width of its comparative account, ends with impressive suggestive pathways of leadership that could address these challenges. A timely must-read contribution on Africa." Professor Somadoda Fikeni, Chairperson of the Public Service Commission

"Prof Nkuhlu's latest offering is not only a profound scholarly piece of work, but also comes with both the correct diagnosis and proffers practical solutions on what needs to be done." Bonang Mohale, Chancellor, University of the Free State
