Collection of essays on the work of composer, musicologist and organist Jacobus (Kobie) Kloppers.
Kloppers was born 1937 in Krugersdorp. He completed his doctorate in Frankfurt Germany, and emigrated to Canada with his family in the mid-1970s in protest against apartheid policies. He taught organ, music history, and musicology at lhe Christian college, The King's University, Edmonton, until his retirement in 2008. Kloppers is an Adjunct Professor of Organ at the University of Alberta, an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Canadian College of Organists, the Canadian Music Centre and a member of the Canadian League of Composers.
