Sifiso Ndlovu was a 14-year-old student at Phefeni Junior Secondary School in Soweto when the June 1976 uprisings took place and was an active participant. Currently he is Professor of History at the University of South Africa. He is also an Executive Director at the South African Democracy Education Trust and Editor-in-Chief of the multi-volume Road to Democracy in South Africa series.
