Duncan Clarke on the diaries, biographies, memoirs, paintings and maps through which early missionaries, explorers, hunters, artists and itinerants shared their experiences of the region of Zambesia with the wider world. He also covers the published research and journal articles by historians, archeologists, prehistory societies and government officials.
Duncan Clarke was born in Salisbury (now Harare) in 1948. His books include The Last Rhodesians, society adrift; Rhodes' Ghost: The conquest of Zambesia; Africa's Future: Darkness to destiny and Africa: Crude vontinent: The struggle for Africa's oil prize. He founded Global Pacific & Partners in 1978. In 2016 he established Royal Sable Publishing. He lives in the UK.
