Autobiography of cricketer Hoosain Ayob (b. 1941). Ayob’s father died when he was ten-years-old, and his family went to live at Mia’s Farm, a Muslim charitable institution in what is now Midrand, where he learnt to play sport. He went on to become a provincial soccer player and a legendary fast bowler but was barred from playing for South Africa because he was classified "Indian" by the apartheid state. Later in life he served as a teacher, headmaster and cricket coaching director, and became the International Cricket Council’s Director of Development for Africa in 1998.
