DOCTOR OF HEARTS, the biography of Bongani Mayosi

At the age of 28, South African Professor of Cardiology Bongani Mayosi (1967-2018) became the first black Head of the Department of Medicine at the University of Cape Town. In 2016 he took up the position of Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences at the university, after completing the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School. Following his death, Mayosi was named a posthumous member of the United States National Academy of Medicine.
