David Hilton-Barber is the author of a number of historical works, including The Triumphs, Trials and Tribulations of Ponele Seshai as a Magistrate in the new South Africa, The Batubatse: their story and traditions and Matabele Rising. In 2010 he established Footprints Press to publish non-fiction historical works by South African authors. He lives in Hermanus.
