A history of the planning and development of Marina de Gama, a residential marina built on the sandscape at Zandvlei, between Prince George Drive and Lakeside in Cape Town. The concept for the development was conceived in 1968 and the project was officially declared open in October 1974.

Civil engineer Gerald Rosenthal worked on the project's concept in March 1970, and was involved for the next five years.
