Between July 2023 and May 2024, at the age of 57, Keith Boyd ran 11 000 km from Cape to Cairo in 301 days in aid of his youth democracy and anti-poverty foundation RainbowLeaders.org.za. He did so at the age of 57, with a genetic heart condition, and broke a 25-year-old world record.
"Running the entire length of Africa is more than a record. It is a testament to human spirit, courage, and resilience. Keith has shown us that no matter how long the road, taking one step at a time can make all the difference. Keith's achievement is an inspiration for all who dare to dream big. May his journey inspire you to run your own journey with purpose." Eliud Kipchoge, Kenyan long-distance runner
