Timothy Ogene grew up outside Port Harcourt, Nigeria. He has lived in Liberia, the UK and the US, where he is lectures in African literary and cultural studies at Harvard University. His first novel, The Day Ends Like Any Day, was awarded Book of the Year by the African Literature Association.
