Writer and director Faïza Guène was born in France in 1985 to parents of Algerian origin.  She is the author of the novels Kiffe kiffe demain (Just Like Tomorrow), Du rêve pour les oufs (Dreams from the Endz) and Les gens du Balto (Bar Balto).
