Loubie Rusch has been exploring the Cape's indigenous edibles since 2010. In 2017 she founded the Local WILD food unit, now based at the Sustainability Institute in Stellenbosch, which highlights the forgotten and neglected foods of the Cape Floristic Region and the Western, Eastern and Northern Cape provinces.
