Rob Little managed Cathedral Peak Catchment Reserve, co-ordinated the Gamebird Research Programme at the FitzPatrick Institute of African Ornithology, and was Director of Conservation at WWF South Africa. In 2009 he was appointed Manager of the Centre of Excellence at the FitzPatrick Institute. He retired in 2020. His books include Birding in South Africa's National Parks and Gamebirds of Southern Africa (with Tim Crowe).
