Foreword by Joe Thloloe.
Themba Sepotokele on his career as a journalist, government spokesperson and media trainer.
"In his book, Themba Sepotokele seeks to bridge the gulf between journalists and spin doctors. He delves into the intricate dance between journalists and government spokespersons, shedding light on the often-tense relationship between the two. With over three decades of experience in media and government communications, Sepotokele offers a nuanced perspective on how these seemingly opposing forces can find common ground and collaborate for the greater good" Hopewell Radebe, Projects Manager, South African National Editors' Forum
"While the relationship between journalists and spokespeople will always be a bit tense, it must be a healthy tension. The relationship must be characterised by mutual respect and understanding for each other's roles and limitations. In the end, both parties serve the same audience. Both play a crucial role in maintaining a healthy democracy in the country and both should be guided by the principles in our Constitution ... Themba Sepotokele has made it his mission to make communicators aware of the importance of this relationship and stimulate serious discussion about the subject. This book is a welcome contribution to the communications industry" Antoinette Slabbert, Chairperson, National Press Club
