Memoir by former Umkhonto we Sizwe (MK) soldier Sandi Sijake.

Sandi Sijake was born in 1945 in the Eastern Cape. He joined the ANC in 1959, went into exile in 1963, and received military training abroad. He was captured in 1972 and sentenced to 15 years in prison and sent to Robben Island. Released in 1988, he joined the SANDF in 1995, and was elected President of the ANC Veteran's League in 2009.
