Short stories set in the northern suburbs of Johannesburg.
"Barbara Ludman writes about loss and moving on with an alluring wit and ease. This is the best kind of fiction: profound philosophy rendered with a sure, light touch." Mark Gevisser, author of Lost and Found in Johannesburg
American journalist Barbara Ludman moved to Johannesburg in 1976 and started working at The Star. She was a founding member of The Weekly Mail, now the Mail & Guardian, where she worked for 17 years, co-editing several editions of the M&G’s A-Z of SA Politics.
