Colette Maclennan grew up in KwaZulu-Natal and trained at the Silwood School of Cookery in Cape Town. After graduating, she worked in some of the city’s top restaurants before moving to London, where she spent a decade working at Finns of Chelsea. On her return to Cape Town she opened The General Store in 2015.
