This book grew out of Vusumzi Ngxande's podcast Journey Kwantu, where he explores questions around African ancestral practices, their history and their relevance to modern life. 

Vusumzi Ngxande has documented ancestral ceremonies since 2014 and has written on identity, fatherhood and the black experience for publications such as Destiny Man, True Love, Afropolitan and Marvin. He lives in Johannesburg.
