Published on the occasion of the exhibition, Norval Foundation, Cape Town, August 2019 - July 2020, curated by Karel Nel and Owen Williams.

Each boxed set includes a unique silkscreen print made using lapis lazuli-based pigment, featuring text overlaid onto unique found book pages from the artist’s library. Each print has the official red William Kentridge stamp in the bottom right corner.

The exhibition was hosted simultaneously in two parts, and covers over 40 years of artistic production (1976-2019) in drawing, stop-frame animation, video, prints, sculpture, tapestry, and large-scale installation. The volumes include contributions by Azu Nwagbogu, Tammy Langtry, William Kentridge, Koyo Kouoh and Nástio Mosquito in conversation with William Kentridge, David Freedberg and Karel Nel, and a Kentridge timeline (1955-2019) compiled by Sean O'Toole and Sven Christian.
