This book draws heavily on a memoir Nelson Mandela began writing as he prepared to conclude his term as President. Using Mandela's unfinished draft, detailed notes that Mandela made and previously unseen archive material, South African author Mandla Langa has completed the book. Mandla Langa is the author of several novels, including "The Lost Colours of the Chameleon", which won the 2009 Commonwealth Writer's Prize for Best Book in the African region.
