In 1997 former lawyer and United Nations diplomat Costa Ayiotis moved from Johannesburg to Cape Town, bought a run-down pub in Hout Bay and turned it into Lemonia Greek Taverna. He sold the restaurant in 2001 and moved back to Johannesburg.
