A biography of British ivory hunter George Rushby (1900-1969), who mostly worked in Tanganyika (now Tanzania) from the early 1920s until the late 1950s. In 1946 he was responsible for hunting down the pride of lions that had killed and eaten hundreds of people in the Njombe region. As Deputy Game Warden of Tanganyika, he first proposed the Ruaha National Park in 1949 and helped ensure the park was gazetted in 1951.
