Novelist and poet Dumisani Sibiya has won the Sanlam Prize for Youth Literature three times for the novels Kungasa Ngifile, Ngidedele Ngife and Ngiyolibala Ngifile (this novel also won the 2001 K Sello Duiker Memorial Literay Award). His poetry collection, Isibusiso Nezinyembezi, won the 2021 UJ Debut Prize for Creative Writing in isiZulu. He is currently a lecturer in the Department of African Languages at the University of Johannesburg.

Zilibele Mtumane is Associate Professor and Head of the Department of African Languages and the School of Languages at the University of Johannesburg.
