A memoir by South African musicians, performers, promoters and impresarios Des and Dawn Lindberg.

Des' Gold Discs include “Die Gezoem Van die Bye” and “Seagull’s Name was Nelson”. He was Chairman of Chairman of TMSA (Theatre Managements of SA) for 22 years, served on the Boards of the State Theatre and the Joburg Civic Theatres, and was Vice-Chairman of the NGO PROMAT Colleges and Trust.

Dawn directed and designed all CAT Corporate and Stage Productions. She was a motivational speaker and is past president of Soroptimists International of the Highveld, Founder and Executive Director of the Naledi Theatre Awards and a previous Chairperson of TMSA. She was the contributing editor of the book Soweto, with photographs by Peter Magubane. She died in 2020.

Des and Dawn Lindberg's company, CAT (Cabaret and Theatre), was established in 1965. It was the first non-racial theatre production company to play in public venues all over South Africa. Their productions include the musicals Godspell, The Black Mikado and Pippin and the play The Vagina Monologues.
