Garlicks was a department store chain in South Africa.

John Garlick was born England, came to South Africa in 1872, and opened the first Garlicks store in 1875 in Cape Town city centre. In the 1880s he opened branches in other towns and cities around the country. The last Garlicks store closed in Cape Town in 1993.

Garlick served on the Cape Town City Council and served, the Cape Legislative Council, the Cape Legislative Assembly, and as Commissioner on the Table Bay Harbour Board.
