The Bongi Dhlomo Collection includes 138 artworks produced in the twentieth century by black South African artists both known and unknown.

Artist, curator and arts administrator Bongi Dhlomo was born in Vryheid, KwaZulu-Natal in 1956. She obtained a Fine Arts Diploma (Printmaking) from the Rorke's Drift Art and Craft Centre in 1979. In 2016 she was invited by Christopher Till to put this collection together.

Art historian Pfunzo Sidogi is Head of the Department of Fine and Studio Arts, Faculty of Arts and Design, Tshwane University of Technology.
