Mike Teke (b. 1964) was one of the founding shareholders and CEO of Optimum Coal Holdings, and went on to found the Masimong Group. He was appointed Vice-President of the Chamber of Mines in 2011 and served as President from 2013-2017. He was appointed Chairman of the Richard Bay Coal Terminal in 2012, and is Deputy Chairman of Council at the University of Johannesburg.
