The exhibition and book include photographs from each of Pieter Hugo's major series: "Looking Aside" (2003-2006) to "Flat Noodle Soup Talk" (2015-2016). Also includes text by Pieter Hugo and essays by Ralf Beil and Uta Ruhkamp.

Photographer Pieter Hugo was born in 1976 in Johannesburg and lives in Cape Town. Hugo won the Standard Bank Young Artists Award for Visual Art in 2006, the Discovery Award at the Rencontres d'Arles Festival, the KLM Paul Huf Award in 2008, the Seydou Keita Award at the Rencontres de Bamako African Photography Biennial in 2011, and was chosen as the ‘In Focus’ artist for the Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize at the National Portrait Gallery in London.
