Hennie van Coller is Professor Emeritus and Research Fellow at the University of the Free State. He is the author and editor of numerous publications on South African literature and has been awarded the Gustav Preller Prize for literary studies, the Jan H. Marais Prize  and die N.P. van Wyk Louw medal.
