Proceedings of the international colloquium organised by the Protestant University of Rwanda in partnership with the University of KwaZulu-Natal and held in Huye (Rwanda) on 17-19 March 2019. The event gathered memory specialists, researchers from Germany, UK, USA and South Africa, and community activists, including Ibuka, the national association of genocide survivors and Never Again, an NGO focusing on dialogue and reconciliation in Rwanda.

Tharcisse Gatwa is Research Professor of Ethics and Missiology and Director of Research at the Protestant University of Rwanda.

Philippe Denis is Senior Professor of History of Christianity at the University of KwaZulu-Natal and a member of the Dominican Order.
