Lauretta Ngcobo (1931 – 2015) was born in Ixopo, KwaZulu-Natal. n 1963 she went into exile, first to Swaziland, then Zambia and finally England, where she taught for 25 years. She returned to South Africa in 1994 and lived in Durban.
